LET YOUR CHRISTMAS BE ROYAL: COPENHAGEN DECORATION *NEW
POSTED FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2008
Need some decoration ideas before Christmas? Head straight to Copenhagen, where the Danish porcelain masters at Royal Copenhagen have opened the doors to the company's 45th annual Christmas dinner table exhibition. A different set of celebrities raid the Royal Copenhagen's archives each year to create their dream vision of the holiday; this year, the honour has fallen on Danish nobility, with suitably opulent results. Our three favourites are Countess Cath Danneskiold-Samsøe's classical Christmas tribute to monarchy (pictured), as well as Baroness Helle Reedtz-Thott's fairytale hunt dinner inspired by her family's Gavnø Manor and Countess Victoria Bernstorff-Gyldensten's lunch buffet inspired by the impressive 18-hole golf course on her estate in Funen. The exhibition is open until 31 December.

BELLA COOLA: VERBIER'S MOST STYLISH LODGE?
POSTED TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2008
The latest chalet from CK Verbier, one of the finest chalet providers in the Swiss ski town, Bella Coola combines a beautiful old Swiss wood exterior with contemporary interior design and four Anglo-Indian-style bedrooms with four-poster beds, flowing curtains and bright throws. The reception room is centred around a raised fireplace with built-in seating for cold winter evenings, and the chalet is wired with a fully-integrated entertainment system. Hearty meals are prepared by the chef (who is happy to make anything from bangers and mash to a formal four-course meal) and you can pick your wine from the chalet's impressive cellar. CK Verbier-organised sporting activities include Skilates (pilates for skiing) and heliskiing. Bella Coola sleeps up to 11 people.
